In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Union Troops Entraining by David Gilmour Blythe. The »bidding war« ended at USD 112,500.00 (€ 106,352.81), 41% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Gilmour Blythe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Family Prayers and The Sequel: A Pair of Works, which sold at auction in January 2024 for USD 252,000.00 (€ 220,241.22).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Union Troops Entraining von David Gilmour Blythe zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 106.352,81) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von David Gilmour Blythe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Family Prayers and The Sequel: A Pair of Works beobachtet, die im Januar 2024 für USD 252.000,00 (€ 220.241,22) versteigert wurde.
