Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Path Above Loch Doon; The End Of The Day by David Farquharson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2007. The price achieved of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,590.16) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Farquharson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Morning Breeze, Dordrecht in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 16,730.00 (€ 24,079.07).

Die Arbeit The Path Above Loch Doon; The End Of The Day von David Farquharson kam im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.590,16) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Farquharson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Morning Breeze, Dordrecht im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.730,00 (€ 24.079,07).
