In May 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Self Portrait Series by David Bromley. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 2,868.00 (€ 1,675.68), 43% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by David Bromley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Afternoon Tea Boy in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 10,250.00 (€ 12,093.99).

Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self Portrait Series von David Bromley zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 2.868,00 (€ 1.675,68) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bromley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Afternoon Tea Boy im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.250,00 (€ 12.093,99).
