This artwork by David Bromley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in May 2004. In the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction, the work Self Portrait Series sold for AUD 3,585.00 (€ 2,094.60) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Bromley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Afternoon Tea Boy in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 10,250.00 (€ 12,093.99).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Bromley erzielte im Mai 2004 bei Christies in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS wurde die Arbeit Self Portrait Series für AUD 3.585,00 (€ 2.094,60) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 2.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bromley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Afternoon Tea Boy im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.250,00 (€ 12.093,99).
