This artwork by David Breuer-Weil achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June 2010. In the Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Mortal sold for GBP 39,650.00 (€ 48,218.09) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by David Breuer-Weil; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Alien sold at auction in October 2014 with the realized price of GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,842.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von David Breuer-Weil erzielte im Juni 2010 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale wurde die Arbeit Mortal für GBP 39.650,00 (€ 48.218,09) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von David Breuer-Weil; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Alien im Oktober 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 50.000,00 (€ 63.842,78).
