Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Long Island Tides by David Breuer-Weil was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in London in June last year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 20,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 22,680.00 (€ 26,347.71). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Breuer-Weil - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Alien, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 50,000.00 (€ 63,842.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Long Island Tides von David Breuer-Weil wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 20.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 22.680,00 (€ 26.347,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von David Breuer-Weil mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Alien beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 50.000,00 (€ 63.842,78) versteigert wurde.
