Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Prints & Photographs, which included the work Four Plates from 13 Grabados by David Alfaro Siqueiros. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 3,258.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Alfaro Siqueiros achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 425,000.00 (€ 385,697.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Prints & Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Four Plates from 13 Grabados von David Alfaro Siqueiros zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 3.258,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Alfaro Siqueiros erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paisaje Rojo (Abstracción) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 425.000,00 (€ 385.697,43).
