Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2003 Christies in London held the auction British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures, which included the work Cats in an ornamental garden by David Michie. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 2,820.00 (€ 4,085.12). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Michie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Aeroplanes passing by, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,478.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Victorian and Scottish Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cats in an ornamental garden von David Michie zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 2.820,00 (€ 4.085,12) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von David Michie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Aeroplanes passing by beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.478,23) versteigert wurde.
