Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings, which included the work A rosebed, corner of the park by David Michie. The price achieved of GBP 1,195.00 (€ 1,788.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by David Michie have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Aeroplanes passing by in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 7,800.00 (€ 11,478.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Victorian including Scottish Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A rosebed, corner of the park von David Michie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.195,00 (€ 1.788,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Michie auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Aeroplanes passing by im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.800,00 (€ 11.478,23).
