Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman, which included the work Thunder Dreamer from the Sundance Series 22 in. high by Dave McGary. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 3,087.77) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Dave McGary have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Long Soldier from the Warrior Series in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 35,312.50 (€ 29,925.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thunder Dreamer from the Sundance Series 22 in. high von Dave McGary zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 3.087,77) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dave McGary auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Long Soldier from the Warrior Series im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.312,50 (€ 29.925,85).
