Auction result misses estimated price range
In December last year a collector was able to acquire the work Four Bears from the Warrior Series (Bust) 13 1/2 in. high by Dave McGary for USD 956.25 (€ 893.86). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dave McGary achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Long Soldier from the Warrior Series in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 35,312.50 (€ 29,925.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Four Bears from the Warrior Series (Bust) 13 1/2 in. high von Dave McGary für USD 956,25 (€ 893,86) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dave McGary erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Long Soldier from the Warrior Series im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.312,50 (€ 29.925,85).
