Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Dave McGary could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2002 for an unexpectedly low price. In the THE HOUSE SALE auction, the work Carrier of the Sun changed hands for USD 597.50 (€ 609.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dave McGary achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Long Soldier from the Warrior Series in August 2021 with an auction result of USD 35,312.50 (€ 29,925.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dave McGary konnte im Juli 2002 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion THE HOUSE SALE wechselte die Arbeit Carrier of the Sun für USD 597,50 (€ 609,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dave McGary erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Long Soldier from the Warrior Series im August 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.312,50 (€ 29.925,85).
