Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sketch Of Lovers For The Blessed Damozel by Dante Gabriel Rossetti was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2018. The price achieved of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,778.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dante Gabriel Rossetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pandora in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 5,346,500.00 (€ 6,571,020.97).
