Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art, which included the work Lady Lilith by Dante Gabriel Rossetti. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 600,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 680,750.00 (€ 759,612.46). Admittedly, works by Dante Gabriel Rossetti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pandora in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 5,346,500.00 (€ 6,571,020.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Victorian, Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lady Lilith von Dante Gabriel Rossetti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 600.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 680.750,00 (€ 759.612,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dante Gabriel Rossetti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pandora im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.346.500,00 (€ 6.571.020,97).
