Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Head study of Marie Spartali Stillman (1844-1927) for 'Dante's Dream' by Dante Gabriel Rossetti was sold in the Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2018. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 320,750.00 (€ 359,631.28). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dante Gabriel Rossetti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pandora in May 2014 with an auction result of GBP 5,346,500.00 (€ 6,571,020.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Head study of Marie Spartali Stillman (1844-1927) for 'Dante's Dream' von Dante Gabriel Rossetti wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Victorian Pre-Raphaelite & British Impressionist Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 300.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 320.750,00 (€ 359.631,28) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dante Gabriel Rossetti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pandora im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.346.500,00 (€ 6.571.020,97).
