Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2007 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works, which included the work Australian The Cyclist by Danila Vassilieff. The price achieved of AUD 31,200.00 (€ 18,656.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Other works by Danila Vassilieff have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2001 the work Newsboy was auctioned for AUD 37,600.00 (€ 21,838.89).

Im August 2007 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art Including Selected International Works durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian The Cyclist von Danila Vassilieff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 31.200,00 (€ 18.656,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Danila Vassilieff konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2001 die Arbeit Newsboy für AUD 37.600,00 (€ 21.838,89) versteigert.
