Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Portrait by Danila Vassilieff. The price achieved of AUD 2,629.00 (€ 1,648.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Danila Vassilieff achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Newsboy in November 2001 with an auction result of AUD 37,600.00 (€ 21,838.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait von Danila Vassilieff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 2.629,00 (€ 1.648,76) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Danila Vassilieff erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Newsboy im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 37.600,00 (€ 21.838,89).
