Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Gossip, 1933 by Danila Vassilieff. The price achieved of AUD 6,150.00 (€ 4,001.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Danila Vassilieff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Newsboy in November 2001 with an auction result of AUD 37,600.00 (€ 21,838.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Gossip, 1933 von Danila Vassilieff zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 6.150,00 (€ 4.001,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Danila Vassilieff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Newsboy im November 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 37.600,00 (€ 21.838,89).
