Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Seated Woman by Danielle Orchard was worth USD 176,400.00 (€ 180,312.79) to a buyer in September last year. This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Danielle Orchard; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Bathers sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of USD 287,500.00 (€ 254,717.82).
