Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings, which included the work Austrian at The Window by Daniel Israel. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,117.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Israel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harem Beauties, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,784.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2017 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Austrian at The Window von Daniel Israel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.117,58) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Daniel Israel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Harem Beauties beobachtet, die im Juni 2005 für GBP 12.000,00 (€ 17.784,76) versteigert wurde.
