Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Admiring the toy by Daniel Israel was sold in the 19th Century European & Orientalist Art auction at Christies in London in July 2017. The result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,695.08) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daniel Israel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harem Beauties, which sold at auction in June 2005 for GBP 12,000.00 (€ 17,784.76).
