Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper, which included the work View Of The Hegereiterbrücke Over The Waterfalls At Plauen, Near Dresden by Daniël Dupré. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 875.00 (€ 976.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Daniël Dupré have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A mountainous Italianate landscape with a peasant woman carrying her child on a road, a traveller resting beyond in May 2004 with an auction result of EUR 4,780.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Day Sale including Old Master Paintings, Drawings and British Works on Paper durch, in der auch die Arbeit View Of The Hegereiterbrücke Over The Waterfalls At Plauen, Near Dresden von Daniël Dupré zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 875,00 (€ 976,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniël Dupré auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A mountainous Italianate landscape with a peasant woman carrying her child on a road, a traveller resting beyond im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 4.780,00.
