Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Abbey And River At Grottaferrata by Daniël Dupré for USD 875.00 (€ 793.65). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Daniël Dupré have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A mountainous Italianate landscape with a peasant woman carrying her child on a road, a traveller resting beyond in May 2004 with an auction result of EUR 4,780.00.
