In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work A View Of Sorrento, With Vesuvius Across The Bay And Two Travellers Resting In The Foreground changed hands for USD 4,688.00 (€ 3,158.82) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Other works by Daniël Dupré have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2004 by the work A mountainous Italianate landscape with a peasant woman carrying her child on a road, a traveller resting beyond at EUR 4,780.00.
