In May 2019 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Peinture Aux Formes Indéfinies by Daniel Buren. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,175,000.00 (€ 1,950,847.61), 45% above the upper estimate. With this result, Peinture Aux Formes Indéfinies is even the most expensive work of art by Daniel Buren that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Peinture Aux Formes Indéfinies von Daniel Buren zur Versteigerung kam.
