Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included this untitled work by Danh Vō. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 100,000.00 – 150,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 106,250.00 (€ 124,763.48) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Danh Vō have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work VJ Star in October 2015 with an auction result of GBP 602,500.00 (€ 842,747.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Danh Vō zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 106.250,00 (€ 124.763,48) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Danh Vō auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit VJ Star im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 602.500,00 (€ 842.747,01).
