It achieved a price of GBP 495,300.00 (€ 568,742.00), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 42%. Admittedly, works by Dana Schutz have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Elevator in December 2020 with an auction result of HKD 50,050,000.00 (€ 5,279,190.52).

Die Arbeit Gravity Fanatic von Dana Schutz kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 495.300,00 (€ 568.742,00) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 42%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dana Schutz auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Elevator im Dezember 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 50.050.000,00 (€ 5.279.190,52).
