Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Christies in London held the auction First Open, which included the work Yellow Painting by Dan Walsh. The price achieved of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,526.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 18,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Walsh - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Diptych II, which sold at auction in May 2014 for USD 87,500.00 (€ 64,149.56).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit Yellow Painting von Dan Walsh zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.526,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Walsh mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Diptych II beobachtet, die im Mai 2014 für USD 87.500,00 (€ 64.149,56) versteigert wurde.
