Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled No. 13, (From The Series Blackout), 2010 by Dan Holdsworth was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,019.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Holdsworth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blackout 08, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,158.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled No. 13, (From The Series Blackout), 2010 von Dan Holdsworth kam im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.019,55) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Holdsworth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blackout 08 beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.158,20) versteigert wurde.
