Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blackout 22 by Dan Holdsworth was sold in the Photographs auction at Sothebys in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 6,300.00 (€ 7,411.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Holdsworth - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Blackout 08, which sold at auction in May 2011 for GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,158.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blackout 22 von Dan Holdsworth wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.300,00 (€ 7.411,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Holdsworth mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Blackout 08 beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.158,20) versteigert wurde.
