Auction result well in line with expectations
The work California 01 by Dan Holdsworth was auctioned at Phillips in London in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,562.15) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Holdsworth achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blackout 08 in May 2011 with an auction result of GBP 23,750.00 (€ 27,158.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit California 01 von Dan Holdsworth kam im Mai 2018 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.562,15) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dan Holdsworth erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blackout 08 im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.750,00 (€ 27.158,20).
