Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Dan Flavin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in October last year. In the Robert William Burke auction, the work Hommage à Vladimir Tatlin - 1973 sold for EUR 4,198.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Flavin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Alternate Diagonals Of March 2, 1964 (To Don Judd) in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 3,077,000.00 (€ 2,255,865.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Dan Flavin erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Robert William Burke wurde die Arbeit Hommage à Vladimir Tatlin - 1973 für EUR 4.198,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dan Flavin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Alternate Diagonals Of March 2, 1964 (To Don Judd) im Mai 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 3.077.000,00 (€ 2.255.865,10).
