Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work El viaje by Damián González for USD 17,500.00 (€ 13,451.19). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Damián González have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Islote en la niebla in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 55,380.39).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit El viaje von Damián González für USD 17.500,00 (€ 13.451,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Damián González auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Islote en la niebla im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 55.380,39).
