The work La Puerta by Damián González was auctioned at Christies in New York in May 2011. It achieved a price of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,303.56), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 35%. Admittedly, works by Damián González have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Islote en la niebla in May 2010 with an auction result of USD 68,500.00 (€ 55,380.39).

Die Arbeit La Puerta von Damián González kam im Mai 2011 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.303,56) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 35%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Damián González auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Islote en la niebla im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.500,00 (€ 55.380,39).
