Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Afternoon by Dale William Nichols was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in April 2011. The price achieved of USD 40,625.00 (€ 27,410.43) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dale William Nichols - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Farm Scene, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 112,500.00 (€ 99,672.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Winter Afternoon von Dale William Nichols wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.625,00 (€ 27.410,43) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dale William Nichols mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Farm Scene beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 112.500,00 (€ 99.672,19) versteigert wurde.
