Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Paradise by Dai Jin was worth HKD 2,242,500.00 (€ 208,567.05) to a buyer in April 2014. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Dai Jin; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Grand View Of Mountains And Rivers sold at auction in March 2013 with the realized price of USD 461,000.00 (€ 359,706.62).
