Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Volume by Dadamaino was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 12,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dadamaino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Volume in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 173,000.00 (€ 157,358.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Volume von Dadamaino im April diesen Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 12.600,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dadamaino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Volume im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 173.000,00 (€ 157.358,56).
