The work Careless Talk Costs Lives by Fougasse was worth GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,391.39) to a buyer in November 2012. This price was achieved in the auction Vintage Posters at Christies in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Fougasse; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Careless Talk Costs Lives sold at auction in May 2013 with the realized price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,768.67).
