Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Phillips in London held the auction New Now, which included the work Not yet titled by Cyprien Gaillard. The price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 48,799.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cyprien Gaillard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in November 2015 for USD 193,750.00 (€ 183,440.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Phillips in London die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch die Arbeit Not yet titled von Cyprien Gaillard zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 48.799,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cyprien Gaillard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im November 2015 für USD 193.750,00 (€ 183.440,64) versteigert wurde.
