Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cyprien Gaillard could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Curated auction, the work Not Yet Titled (Tooth) changed hands for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 15,025.05) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyprien Gaillard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 193,750.00 (€ 183,440.64).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cyprien Gaillard konnte im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Curated wechselte die Arbeit Not Yet Titled (Tooth) für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 15.025,05) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cyprien Gaillard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im November 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 193.750,00 (€ 183.440,64).
