Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Loquats and Birds by Cui Zifan. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 47,880.00 (€ 5,511.83), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Cui Zifan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Plum blossoms and Cranes in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 50,598.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Loquats and Birds von Cui Zifan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 47.880,00 (€ 5.511,83) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cui Zifan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Plum blossoms and Cranes im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 50.598,44).
