This price was achieved in the auction New Now at Phillips in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 50,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Cristina BanBan; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot La Fatiga Que Me Das (You Exhaust Me) sold at auction in February this year with the realized price of GBP 163,800.00 (€ 186,835.82).
