Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Craig Kalpakjian could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Room, 1996 changed hands for USD 900.00 (€ 712.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Craig Kalpakjian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Corridor, 1997 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,327.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Craig Kalpakjian konnte im April 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Room, 1996 für USD 900,00 (€ 712,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Craig Kalpakjian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Corridor, 1997 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.200,00 (€ 3.327,00).
