Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Craig Kalpakjian could be acquired at Christies in New York in April 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Hvac, 1999 changed hands for USD 1,200.00 (€ 950.57) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Craig Kalpakjian - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Corridor, 1997, which sold at auction in April 2006 for USD 4,200.00 (€ 3,327.00).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Craig Kalpakjian konnte im April 2006 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Hvac, 1999 für USD 1.200,00 (€ 950,57) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Craig Kalpakjian mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Corridor, 1997 beobachtet, die im April 2006 für USD 4.200,00 (€ 3.327,00) versteigert wurde.
