This artwork by Mikhail Zichy achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2011. In the Russian Paintings auction, the work Alexander Iii At A Court Ball sold for GBP 32,450.00 (€ 37,882.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Zichy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An important montage marking the occasion of the Emperor Alexander II's Silver Wedding Jubilee in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 457,250.00 (€ 556,058.56).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mikhail Zichy erzielte im November 2011 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Russian Paintings wurde die Arbeit Alexander Iii At A Court Ball für GBP 32.450,00 (€ 37.882,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Zichy erzielen.
