This artwork by Cornelius Johnson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2012. In the Old Master & British Paintings auction, the work Portrait Of Two Young Girls On A Terrace With Two Hounds, A Landscape Beyond sold for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,263.79) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelius Johnson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait Of Thomas, 1St Baron Coventry (1578-1640), Lord Keeper Of The Great Seal, which sold at auction in May 2020 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,134.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelius Johnson erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Two Young Girls On A Terrace With Two Hounds, A Landscape Beyond für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 34.263,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00.
