This artwork by Cornelius Johnson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2019. In the The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III auction, the work Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Henrietta Maria, Queen Of England, Circa 1635 sold for GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,341.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelius Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Thomas, 1St Baron Coventry (1578-1640), Lord Keeper Of The Great Seal in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,134.62).

In der Auktion The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of A Lady, Traditionally Identified As Henrietta Maria, Queen Of England, Circa 1635 für GBP 8.750,00 (€ 10.341,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 5.000,00.
