In October 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Masters Online, which included the work Portrait Of Lady Elizabeth Craven (Née Fairfax), Wife Of Sir William Craven Of Lenchwick (1610-1655), Half Length by Cornelius Johnson. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,411.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelius Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Thomas, 1St Baron Coventry (1578-1640), Lord Keeper Of The Great Seal in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,134.62).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.411,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden.
