It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,346.53), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelius Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Thomas, 1St Baron Coventry (1578-1640), Lord Keeper Of The Great Seal in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,134.62).
