This artwork by Cornelius Johnson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in December 2018. In the Part I auction, the work Portrait Of Dudley, 4Th Baron North (1602-1677) sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,711.33) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelius Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Thomas, 1St Baron Coventry (1578-1640), Lord Keeper Of The Great Seal in May 2020 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 97,134.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cornelius Johnson erzielte im Dezember 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Part I wurde die Arbeit Portrait Of Dudley, 4Th Baron North (1602-1677) für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.711,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelius Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Thomas, 1St Baron Coventry (1578-1640), Lord Keeper Of The Great Seal im Mai 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 97.134,62).
